Welcome to the Chaos!
Welcome to the chaos of 2025. I don’t say that to discourage you. Instead, I’m saying it because what feels like chaos right now is, in fact, an enormous opportunity. The next few years are going to be tough. We’ll be angry, frustrated, and outraged. But what if we chose to see this turmoil as a chance to reshape the future? Yes, the policies we’ll face under the Trump administration are morally repugnant—there’s no denying that. Many Democrats will stand in stark contrast to these policies, but let’s be clear: there’s a subset of Democrats who don’t truly embody the values we’ve long held dear. It’s time we hold them accountable.
Anyone who supports billionaires over the needs of the people must go. Anyone who puts business over the well-being of communities must go. Anyone who has used public office to enrich themselves must go.
This isn’t just a demand it’s the demand of the people of the United States. The majority of America has rejected the status quo. The idea of going back to “normal” is a dead end. This is our moment to do better for the people, for the future, for every community that has been left behind. During the 2024 campaign, I talked to countless people in my district in Minnesota. Two things were clear: first, corruption has become normalized, thanks to the Supreme Court and a system that’s been broken for too long; second, people want term limits. We’re all tired of career politicians who get too comfortable in office, while the rest of us struggle.
We can’t point fingers at others for the dysfunction in Washington if we’re not willing to clean up our own house first. It’s time to hold our own accountable before anyone else.
Now, let’s talk about what comes next. We don’t need to keep recycling the same tired talking points. What we need is something different: a bold, contrasting policy agenda not just an opposing ideology. The American people are demanding more than rhetoric; they want real change, real action. Individual Democrats and independent candidates need to step up and craft concrete policies—bills, acts, laws—that reflect the needs of the people, not the demands of the wealthiest 1%. If we leave policy creation to the establishment, we’ll end up with more legislation aimed at appeasing the elderly, because they’re the most reliable voters. We need more than that.
We need people like you.
The next four years don’t have to be defined by fear. They’re an opportunity to resist the powers that be. to build a world that works for all of us. Not just for the few, not just for the majority, but for everyone. We can redefine ourselves. We can redefine our party. This is an advantage we have because right now, we don’t have a single leader, and that means we get to decide who we want to be.
So don’t sit back and wait for others to lead the charge. It’s on us. We can’t afford to let the same broken system drag us down. Always remember, Chaos breeds opportunity.
