The problem with political parties
After 200 plus years of political parties; I believe it's time we grow up and give up the factions, they have done nothing to aid the country in any way, shape or form. As well has largely been a detriment to America throughout the history of our country. Leading to everything from a civil war, the first oligarchy in the 1920s and all manner political partisanship blocking the country from moving forward in any meaningful way. To the point of political partisanship, it has now led to some of the most violence against themselves in American history. to where that they feel they have to spend our hard earned tax dollars and “donations” to pay for their own private security. To allow the parties to continue the partisan games along with blocking the country from moving forward in any meaningful way as that is their main point and purpose to block and stop the other side.
if you think this is in any way shape or form a new thing, you I’m sorry to say are completely and utterly wrong. In the Thomas Jefferson and John Adams presidential elections in the 1800s they were printing in newspapers that if one side won, incest would be rampant across the country along with all manner of other things. Take it forward to around the time of the civil war and the congressman of different parties where literally caning each other, nearly to death. if we fast forward to today, they are literally facing assassination attempts, because of their own political partisanship and media outlets. Political parties do nothing except serve to exacerbate political violence throughout American history. As well they've also been used to justify blatant power grabs by different branches of government in order to support the political parties stated goal at that moment in time. Again, we can go back to the 1800s where the supreme Court blatantly and unconstitutionally seized the power to review law for constitutional violations. if you can find in the American Constitution, where it says the supreme Court has the power to review law for constitutional violations, I will give you 10 million dollars.
It's not only exacerbated violence and power grabs throughout the federal government. It has also blatantly and obviously created the second oligarchy in America, this time headed by the Tech industry controlling information, circumventing the Constitution by spying on Americans for the federal government, technically the government can purchase any information and/or our data they wish and it’s not a violation of the forth amendment.
The supreme court, typically controlled by one party or another and paid off by the oligarchs have been lowering the standards of bribery so low that you basically need a big fat dollar sign on a burlap bag and a note saying this is a bribe to even remotely be considered a bribe. All of America has known this for years. Who does that serve? Well, the political parties of course, who are now hooked on PAC, Super Pac and naturally Dark Money, leading to the most corrupt government in American history. More monopolies than ever in American history. It has gotten to the point, We have White House personnel blatantly taking bribes and nobody cares, supreme Court justices receiving large piles of goodies and nobody cares, the president getting a brand new jet, congressman of both parties and chambers accepting “campaign donations” in exchange for bills being passed out of Congress. The sad truth congressman rarely write their own bills nowadays, largely lobbyists and outside special interest organizations are the ones writing bills, laws and everything else. The lawmaker is usually too busy fundraising for the next campaign to actually do any work. Or again, are just trying to block the other party for political gain and possibly more seats in Congress. Honestly, it feels like one giant joke on all of America that these political parties even exist. As for mentioned, they have done nothing except polarized the country, lead to power grabs and total corruption.
As well they're very existence breaks the checks and balances within our federal government. At no point are political parties mentioned in the Constitution, due to the fact that our Constitution was designed to operate without them. It was designed to fight amongst the branches, not amongst parties. For example, as far as I am aware no president in American history has ever been impeached. Why would you impeach your leader? Thus, political parties break the entire and only recourse Americans have to hold rogue presidents or other officials to account. I guess you could count on the federal legal system to hold them account, but the president runs that, so the legal system is not in any way shape form ever going to hold a president accountable.
As the Constitution is what is known as a power vesting document, political parties break the Constitution to the point where it's basically null and void in the 21st century. The president can conduct illegal wars say in Venezuela aimed at regime change and oil extraction or violate the due process rights of millions of people, and nobody attempts to do anything except campaign against it, at times I due believe they are simply controlled opposition to each other, simply to allow the wealthy to do as they like. Maintaining the two tier justice system. I suppose we could Use a broken judicial system that has been corrupted at the highest levels by millionaires billionaires and other oligarchs in some cases we may prevail, but more likely than not they will make foolish and silly rulings; like the president is above the law and his conduct may not be questioned. Just to achieve these goals, these silly partisanship, country breaking goals. The supreme court will use a paradoxical theory of law known as originalism, which in itself is a paradox for the supreme Court to argue. If they genuinely believed in originalism, any of them. They would be lamenting their own power to review law for constitutionality, because their power does not exist within the Constitution of the United States of America. Therefore, the Supreme Court of America is a paradox onto itself and the country.
Political parties have also begun to both act in anti-democratic ways such as; gerrymandering their states in an attempt to reenforce the story they like to tell about there only being “red states and blue states.” When in actuality there is only purple states. As at last polling Democrats-Republicans only have approximately 30-28% of the voting population. But party media outlets will report conflated numbers such as lean democrat or lean republican. To maintain the optics of the two party system they created. If you take a look at presidential year election maps from across the country, you can note; very easily I might add, that since about bill Clintons era the 1990’s. there has been a down shift in any independent candidates, largely due to the “red states and blue states” restricting ballot access for third parties and candidates, in the name of orderly elections. In reality this is nothing more than an attempt to fix to the political math game to their favor and label all third parties and candidates as spoilers. Again, fitting nicely into their narrative of only two political parties. This kind of behavior is not only corrupt in nature and only servs the parties; but as well this is undemocratic to its core.
Before we can attempt to address any major problems in this country. we must ban political parties; this is what stands between America and moving forward Americans getting what they need or beaten by a system aimed at making the wealthy richer and the political figures more secure in there jobs.
