Repair of our Branches of Government, the Executive

The executive branch of our government has been amassing power for over 200 year under the leadership of both parties, the general thinking for almost 200 years has been, let the president do it. The majority of the time this has been rather benign, it has really had little consequences. Because regardless of how powerful the president was, they always considered so themselves to be under the law; accountable to the law. But as I have begun to note, the closer we get to modern times. The more this concentration of power has eroded our democracy to the point the president of the United States was placed above the law and may not be questioned within the law. We no longer have the ability to hold the president of the United States accountable for violating the constitution, civil rights, war crimes or crimes against humanity within our own country.

First and foremost, thing we have to accomplish to restore balance to our branches of government. To remove the president from being above the law we must place him back under the law. There are two tactics we shouldn't employ when we're doing this, we need to pass an amendment to the Constitution stating that the president of the United States is not above the law and maybe held accountable to the law. As this was always a presumed guardrail that was never actually there, It was illusionary. so, we must actually place the guardrail. As it's been shown with the impeachments of Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, impeaching a president is the most difficult thing to do with in congress, we need to be lowering the threshold for impeachment. Namely because the party system exists. When impeachment was invented Party affiliation was not something the founders had to think about. It wasn’t until they themselves began the factions that have become entrenched political parties, when this happened, we instantly lost the mechanism to hold a president accountable and remove them from power. Unless the deer leader of the faction dose something, so horrible that it can't be overlooked. impeachment will never succeed. You don't impeach your own leader, especially if you're already following them.

We must also review our 200 plus year history of law for obscure old laws that no longer have any relevance, either remove them or amend them as to make them relevant. This is the job of Congress, and they have failed for 200 plus years, to take any responsibility for old dead law. Because they have failed the current administration digs around in the past and manipulates any law they can find, they may think is useful to them. an example of this is the alien enemies Act. As it was never intended to be used to round up migrants in a fake war or as matter of vague “national security.” We have to find these laws remove the presidential authority and restore them to the Congress, at the very least developing a process that involves Congress, insuring the power structure is flat and not top down from the executive. This will go an extremely long way toward balancing the branches again.

naturally we have to remove corruption from the executive, And as I've stated in other articles, we have to redefine our corruption standards and laws to be some of the strictest in the world. so that the president of the United States cannot arbitrarily say things to manipulate the market allowing his rich friends can buy the dip enriching themselves. Removing the president's ability to own cryptocurrencies, stocks is also an extremely good step, In fact nobody in the federal government should be allowed to own any stocks or crypto assets regardless of who manages them. It can create an error of favoritism in the market, removing what everybody likes to call the free market from existence.

Another thing we must accomplish is joining the international criminal Court, to hold all of our leaders accountable for crime they may commit against Americans and abroad against civilians from other countries. For example, I personally don’t see much difference in the internment of the Japanese during world War II and the internment of Jewish people, with the exception of the explicit murder of the Jewish people. Locking people in camps is just locking people in camps. From my understanding the Japanese internment camps were horrendous. We are now using the exact same laws to Target migrants forcing them into camps where they face likely sexual assault, abuse, neglect, and possible sterilization. based on current and past reporting from ICE detention centers. These are all crimes against humanity the American government does or did in the past.

We must remove the president's power to make strikes outside of our country territory and provinces, The 9/11 AMUFs and any other authorizations of military force must be rescinded and revoked by the Congress of the United States, unless we'd like to continue seeing future presidents use them to commit war crimes in the name of “national security” and no legitimate actual reasoning or presentation facts attempting to justify the war crime. We have left the presidents of the United States run wild with our armies for this we have seen entire families blown up in vehicles, because they were suspected “terrorists.”

Regardless of how you feel about terrorism unless they're out in the middle of nowhere in a terrorist camp, you cannot use missiles. They are simply not strategically enough to avoid civilian casualties. it's the nature of the weapon, a missile is designed to deploy maximum damage, they do not have the precision or accuracy of a human. Rather than arbitrary using drone footage from 3000 ft above to determine if somebody is a possible terrorist, we need to be Developing and training units specializing in urban combat, which should be developed to deploy on terrorist cells and organizations. if you're not willing to put an American endanger to either confirm your suspicion or make the strike. Then it's likely not worth doing. How they went after Osama is a prime example of how we should be going after terrorists not with missiles, but with surgical precision units developed and designed to target terrorist groups.

If you'd like an example of war crimes that the government commits, You need to look no further than George w Bush or Donald Trump's current attempt at blowing up unmarked civilian ships that are at sea, not knowing what they are or who they are. This is a war crime, regardless of if there are drugs involved. We cannot enforce American law on other countries around the world. There are international laws that govern the seas and the world that America must abide by along with the rest of the world, in most cases we were the ones to make the rules up in the first place.

As The shining city on the hill America has to do better, We cannot be committing war crimes. We must begin to restore the balances between our governments branches, impose the guardrails that were presumed to be there and restore the executive branch to its stated position under the Constitution, removing as many arbitrary concentrated powers as possible and old law. If we can do this, we can restore America to the path of greatness it once walked.
