to Win Minnesota CD06 and Across the Country

To begin we should probably describe what district 6 is; District 6 is a rural, suburban, and urban. As a district we have a strong mix of everything. Since my loss in the democratic primary in 2024, subsequently being told I’m not democrat enough, by the DFL in my district. (Yes, I am literally being told this.) I've spent a lot of time digging into the district, I can now tell you off the top of my head that Minnesota district 6 is an R+12, split between independents at 32%, Republicans 49% Democrats only come in at 18.2%, let's just say anybody with a D at the end of their name is at a distinct disadvantage in this district. I must say I fully understand why. This isn't Minneapolis where the endorsement can carries massive weight and will carry you through the general election cycle. The people of this district align closer to Bernie Sanders than they do, the Democratic Party. Even Republican voters sound a lot more like Bernie Sanders, than a Democratic candidate. This district is either farmers or workers, who have gotten the short end of the proverbial stick. You won't find the suburban housewives out here, you'll find hard-working moms living paycheck to paycheck, you'll find industrious young men who feel they have no future, You will find Farmer's toiling to grow a crop to feed people or animals growing the things we use to make our society go round.

now that we've learned a little bit about the district and understand that it's a mix of rural suburban and urban areas; it's a R+12 mostly of independence and Republicans. We can begin to discuss tactics and candidate characteristics. I think it'd be best to begin with candidate characteristics, to be an acceptable candidate in CD6 Democratic values, whatever that means nowadays; are not widely an acceptable position here. For example, you would not want to run around this district spotting off ideas about abundance, when the people here have seen nothing but hardship for years, sometimes longer. The people here don't want to hear about how we're going to make life easier for corporations, by deregulating everything and working with business. this is just a light version of trickledown economics that everybody hates. There are some people that say there's dignity in a job, And I would disagree wholeheartedly with that sentiment, as they've taken the dignity out of work making it a meaningless existence of struggle and poverty splashed with moments of hope and change.

The correct candidate for CD6 must have more of an independent libertarian style Because the people of this district value freedoms such as freedom of speech, even if they don't like the other sides use of it. The people of this district like guns and want due process for there constitutional right. To win in a Republican Independence split, You need to be free of the parties. anybody that's ever said the word banning anything is a wrong candidate, anybody who's ever mentioned means testing for social programs is the wrong candidate. Anybody who could be considered an elite is wrong candidate. I must say, To me and everybody in this district and probably most independents, the definition of an elite is somebody that has something higher than a bachelor's degree, Is involved in academia, independently wealthy and business focused.

To win In Minnesota CD6 and other districts similar to this across the country, The Democratic Party needs to begin working with independent candidates. That they would otherwise shun. Working class non-suburbanite libertarian otherwise known as John Austin type liberals, freedom for all. candidates, who are progressive enough to want social programs to support every individual in America but balance it out with our ability to embrace and fight for the freedoms our for fathers died for. Because, in reality the Democrat Party is not what they say it is It is not a big tent party, since becoming involved with a DFL, I have witnessed how clicky these people are. How willing they are to turn their back on people myself included for the mere fact of not espousing every single one of their personal values. I have personally met lower level DFL individuals who admit they are likely to never move up the ladder past the local district level because of the clicky self-centered, egotistical, elitism within the Democratic Party itself. I don't say this to disparage Democrats, I say this because if you have shit on your knees and you can't smell it anymore. Somebody has to say something, or you will just be the stinky kid walking around school wondering why nobody likes them and wants to play. It is not merely enough to mimic or adopt Republican positions, impart it will turn off your base of support.

Because you claim to be a big tent party therefor your leadership Never espouse the same values across the party, This in turn leads to Mass confusion on what the Democratic Party even stands for. I've lost the plot y'all, do we stand against Trump? Because his laws and bills keep passing with Democratic support. Do we stand for migrants and legal immigration? No because, Democrats have helped pass laws that harm them. Do Democrat’s stand up to special interests like cryptocurrency, The NRA, billionaires? No, there are some in the Democratic Party that want to crawl back to the big dollar donors and have helped pass horrible law. We have to remember that big dollar donners extorted the entire Democratic Party to remove Joe Biden from the ticket, even worse some of them think we should work with people like Elon Musk. who I'm going to just inform you now; his grandfather was run out of this country for trying to destroy democracy. Elons back to finish the job. do Democrats stand up for democracy, Freedom of the vote, counting every vote? No, their plan is to gerrymander states they control right along with the Republicans. Which is entirely an undemocratic process as It disenfranchises voters. as I've stated, simply adopting, mimicking, or following along with Republicans is not going to get you Republican votes. it's just going to show everybody that you are two-faced and willing to just tell them whatever they want to hear. simply attaching a D to the end of your name and hoping voters pick you over Republicans because you've adopted their policies and attempted to not offend them isn't going to win.

To win this district you have to be pushing for social programs things that help normal everyday people. I'm not talking the broken old systems like, section 8 to some extent SNAP, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social security. These programs while they are some of the best we have, they have been the target of Republicans and wealthy elites for decades. as it was stated back in the days of Ronald Reagan, they want government small enough, to take it out back and strangle it. Which is why they've manipulated making cuts into transforming the government into being more efficient, for decades they've been slowly breaking every social program in the country sometimes with the help of Democrats (thanks, Bill).

if Democrats ever hope to win, they need to be taking the exact and opposite tactics of the Republicans they need to be actually coming up with their own project 2025, that includes things like actual legitimate well thought out pathways to citizenship for migrants, they need to be including how to deal with guns without banning them, as it's a constitutional right and they need to be shunning big business in favor of workers and workers’ rights. The Democratic Party was built on the union, farmers, and the backing of unions. democrats have abandoned workers, farmers, and the Unions. in favor of Amazon Google and meta. It has not worked out very well, chasing the almighty dollar has made the American people to turn its back on you, because you turned your back on them. It is up to us to come up with the creative solutions to the problems we have, be able to attack our opponents and present unique solution.

So, my question to all of you is would you rather work with independent-minded progressives? or the corporate-Nazis Republicans, those are our two options. Sitting back waiting for the damage that the Republicans are going to do and have done to hit, People are going to look at you and say; why didn't you stop this, Why didn't you help me. Democrats you're going to go shrug your shoulders and say we don't have the majority. In reality the Republicans for years were not in power and they still somehow managed to stop everything. So how are Democratic leaders going to look at us and tell us that's the problem, when we know it's not! The current tactics of the Democratic Party are callus, self-serving, and self-centered. If you want to get rid of people like Ted Cruz Marjorie Taylor Green and others you need to be embracing and finding independent candidates who are progressive end of story, that lean to the left and then you need to be supporting them from the outside. while they run their campaign relatively free of influence; but work in tandem with Democrats. Democrats can keep at what they are good at and work the “blue Anchors” and the independent candidates can be free to go places democrats fear, the country. Even if Republicans do lose the majority in the house, there will remain enough of them to block everything again. We need two thirds majority in both chambers to stop the Authoritarian takeover of the federal government, it's as simple as that. We can even begin to override Donald dipshit trumps veto and enact a progressive agenda that helps all people in America. So, the answer seems quite clear doesn't it progressive independent candidates that lean left are your key.

Hello, my name is Austin Winkelman, and I am in progressive Independent candidate. I am Definitely not a stereotypical Democrat That's for sure, but I gangster lean for the left.
