The unrepresented majority of America
According to Gallup and other polling in November of 2024 the percentage of Americans that were represented as independent was 40%, And then shortly after November of 2024 The percentage went up to around 43% as independent, that leaves about 28% Democrats 28% Republicans and 43% as independent, as of June of 2024 the percentage now sits at 51% of America are unaffiliated or independent. Now, I personally don't find any of these statistics surprising. In fact I would argue that this is a sign of growth in the country, moving past political partisanship. Moving towards a more united America, as it were.
Since I see America splitting from their party and a partisanship, we must be endeavoring to find ways, places and things that we as Americans can hold as common ground. Because whether you’re a Republican, a Democrat or like myself an independent, we all believe red white and blue. This is the people's country, This is not the country of the billionaires or corporations. the people of this country deserve respect, dignity and the government that works for their common good. Because if an individual does not feel all of these things in their life they will stand up, they will revolve, they will be unhappy. And since the early 1990s the general public and the working class of America have continued to see their hard work squandered by the wealthy elites on both sides of the political spectrum.
As the 51% maturity of this country I do not believe it is proper to be personally gerrymandering states, it's bad enough when they attempted to do this with racial gerrymandering. But instead of directly attacking race they've chosen to go after political affiliation. Because in an effort to appear as though there are neutral party the supreme Court has declined to take up anything regarding political gerrymandering. Regardless of the fact that we are all aware that since it's inception the supreme Court has been nothing but a political tool, due to its 1803 political power grab. However the Freedom of Association, under the first amendment would preclude them from partisan gerrymandering maps, And if the supreme Court were to make a ruling on it they may undo freedom of association with religion for example.
By gerrymandering a states map and actively entering this gerrymandering war, Democrats and Republicans are actively disenfranchising the majority of Americans in this country. This is a practice that must not be allowed to continue, It definitely should have not have been allowed to start in the first place. Because there's no such thing as a red state or a blue state. We are the United States, We are a union and together we stand the strongest. The billionaires and political elites seek to divide us, We must stand United on whatever common ground we can find and resist, because together they can't break us. Although they'll try they will fail.
To fix this country we must, hold our political leaders accountable, move to a public funding for elections and remove the ability ALL PAC spending, The problem with money in politics didn't start with citizens United It began in the 1970s after the Wealthy got sick of paying their fair share and decided we are not worth their money. So since the 1970s the wealthiest tax rate has continued to go down. As a result they have personally ran up the credit card of the country, for their decades of tax breaks. And they expect us to vimo off their debt, as if there's some sort of bad roommate who spent all their money and now needs a $50. At this point I'm calling for 90% tax rate on the top 1% not because they need to be penalized but because if we don't, The country will go bankrupt. But don't worry They got all the crypto in the world you'll need.
We need a stand United, find our common ground and fight back.
