The Opportunity of Education
Donald Trump and the Republicans are destroying the educational system in America, As Americans we have the right and responsibility to take this opportunity to reimagine the educational system for future generations, for our children, for ourselves.
A reimagining of the system into something that can benefit everyone in Minnesota and the country, not just select few. There are a multiple steps we can take to better produce our educational system, The initial thing we have to invest in smaller but more numerous schooling facilities, more schools in more communities. This will allow us to reduce our class sizes from 25 to 30, to smaller numbers, allowing for better one-on-one interaction with teachers and other support staff. As well we must also invest in our support for staff themselves, increasing the number of consulate; nurses, teaching assistants, and others. To better assist instructors and teachers with students who may have behavioral issues. We must always keep in mind that not every student has the best life, and even students with behavioral issues deserve the same respect and support an A+ student would receive. The most major step we could take in building a better educational system for tomorrow is by investing our time energy into universal schooling from Pre-K to the community college/technical college level.
We have to assure that we have the most open and diverse educational system possible to serve Minnesota as a whole. By investing into universal education, we could take steps to improve the educational outcomes for students who choose to only pursue a high school level education, as well for people who choose to continue a higher education. we can lower their costs by allowing them to attend community college level courses and technical level college courses, increasing our workforce education, and increasing their pay opportunities. allowing individuals who seek further specialization, such as advanced business, legal, or engineering degrees. Also, we must develop a mechanism for the federal government to ensure that we can produce highly demanded skill sets in jobs like nursing, mental health professionals, and education by reducing tuition or allowing free education for people to develop the skills we need to fill positions in industry.
Arguably one important thing we have to do, irrespective of how important people consider it is or not, We must maintain within the country and our school systems the freedom of religion. which says that you have the right to choose your religion, Change your religion, or have none at all. This is the concept that inspired separation of church and State, this is a concept that is currently under attack in the US, as public schools are publicly funded entities via our taxes, The separation of Church and State applies. While I would like to see these schools do well as private entities, I draw the line at publicly funding them. while yes; they are a school, they generally do not live up to the guidelines we lay out for our public schooling institutions. therefore, removing themselves from the ability to collect taxpayer dollars for their private school system. They have a right to exist; they don't have a right to our tax dollars. By removing the funding from private religious schools, we can redistribute that funding back to public schools where it belongs.
We have the opportunity to reimagine the public school system; we can expand it to serve the modern era by investing in smaller but more numerous schooling facilities, after all more schools in more communities. Expand our support staff, Invest in a universal education program. restore the concept of freedom of religion, maintaining the separation of church and states in school as it was intended to be in the Constitution and by our founders. We do indeed have the ability to fix little problems in the US like education; with a little imagination and a dash of willpower we can accomplish anything as a country.
