Who cares Whose Fault it is, Climate Change.
As we face the existential crisis that is climate change; We must disregard and dismiss the old arguments of whose fault climate change is, regardless of whether it is human made or just a result of natural planetary changes. We have the ability, I would say the responsibility, to maintain a slow rate of change to better allow plants, animals, and the planet to adapt. As the most capable species the planet has ever seen, We have all the power in the world to make the changes needed to slow the progress of climate change. the circumstances surrounding the change is beside the point. We must do everything in our power to change the trajectory we are facing in the global climate crisis.
As I see it there are two specific actions, we can take to address climate change. As a society, The first is we have to make massive investments into geothermal power. Particularly near and around the Yellowstone caldera, as one of two super cultures in the world capable of generating massive amounts of energy. The caldera itself is capable of producing 20 gigawatts of heat energy, which we can convert into 3.5 gigawatts of renewable clean geothermal electric power. This is enough to power almost every home in the United States, Lucky for us forward thinking lawmakers such as AOC and others have been working on introducing bills aimed at speeding the deployment, dealing with environmental regulations, red tape and other aspects required in their deployment. If we were to incorporating closed loop geothermal technology into NASA's 2017 proposal: to create 160 geothermal plants in circling the Yellowstone Caldara. We can massively reduce the amount of water required in the process; as well this will allow us to transition people from oil producing jobs into the creating clean power plants of the future for reliable energy production in America.
The second arguably equally important policy implementation, Reinvest and expand tax credits and subsidies for the development and expansion of clean power energy sources like, wind, solar, geothermal, hydroelectric. As it stands, we currently are one of the world leaders in clean energy manufacturing and production. However, under Dingle-berry Donald Trump’s rollback and his drill baby drill policy have been a detriment to America, reinstating and expanding the tax credits and subsidies, will allow us to maintain our position as one of the world leaders in clean energy manufacturing, making the parts, pieces, and bits, the world requires to develop their own clean energy solutions.
We have the ability. We have the technology. All we requires the willpower to make the changes required to fix the problem; We cannot lay down in the face of existential threats. We must stand deliver for our children, for ourselves, for everyone and everything on this beautiful blue ball we call home, This is not an unsolvable problem.
